Thread: Squad for next season!

  1. #11
Why do we want to keep Murdoch? I know he’s under contract so has to stay anyway but why would we want to keep him?! An actual eight bsck is needed.

Murdoch did alright save for couple of errors in play offs in about the last 10 matches. Decent personality and did well left back and in centre with Mohsni

    Moshni
    Fyvie
    Stanton
    Keatings
Ralston (if he finds he isn't in Celtics plans for next season)

    Build from there

On paper we had a Premiership team. On the park we had a Championship one. In reality potential and reputation mean nothing when it gets down to performances. We hired or loaned the lame, the halt, out of form, injury prone, twilight individuals, etc. At the start of the season It all looked so good. Yes St. Mirren had better layers than us, they scored more goals, lost less goals, won more games, lost less games and got a barrowload more points than us. IN the broad scheme of things our premiership team was written on toilet paper.

Would agree with Shedka plus Deniz and maybe Durnan. He's decent enough at this level only.

Would love to sort something with Ralston. He's been the one bright spark in our horrendous season. Sad times when a Celtic reserve player is our best player.

Mohsni was also a bright spot. We need to get him signed up for next season and that would be a very good start to squad building

Keep Deniz once fit but need cover

If Celtic will let us keep Ralston I'd have him in a shot. Keep Mohsni, Murdoch and at a push Robson but he needs to get his act together next season.

Keep Slater, Gillespie, Stanton and McMullan. Fraser will probably be off in the summer.

Keep big Tam, Keatings and Matty Smith. McDonald will take his professional Celtic punditry elsewhere

Still well short of a team to get us out of this league

I really hope we've seen the last of Jamie Robson. Never seen a more cowardly defender

Did you think at the start of the season St Mirren had the players?? One of their better players this season was Smith, who was average at best for us. They are a very mediocre squad who have been guided and organised by a very good manager. We had, on paper, the best squad in the league but we lacked leadership and cohesion all season.
