Thread: Squad for next season!

The Fyvie situation is a little different. He proved his worth before the injury. His injury can happen to any player and, these days, it's something that can be recovered from completely.

Hope you’re right. He is still injured however whereas (currently) Briels isn’t

Briels looked good before his injury, and according to him had never been out for any length of time in his career till this season

Csaba emptting squad completely worries me as who in Acottish football (with any prospects) will actually come play for him? Very little imo as they will know how much of a micro manager he is and will not be confident of group success.. Therefore squad will be a load of fringe european plagers.. We will end up hetting relegated again!.. Hes just spouted aload of dribble again amd way too early.. He could wIt a few weeks till replaceme ts fou d before getting rid.. His technique is not givimg a sense of 'stability'.. Very worrying times..
No decent Scottish player is going to want to play for csaba

It will be a squad of the desperate and foreign duds.

Don't agree, still think a lot of young hungry players will see us as a step up no matter who the manager is.

Correct and turned out our best player over the play offs. Great attitude, guts, heart and a fair bit of skill to back it up.

I personally wouldnt keep Murder or Willo, they've had their chance. Surely to feck we can find better players than the rest of those gutless, clueless headless chickens who ran about a bit til the going got tough against the mighty Pars and Livingscum.

    So who then ?

Kenny Miller anybody (tin hat on)?
Vigurs - Yes, The boy from Dumbarton we were after, an experienced keeper (Alexander looked solid enough), a pest like that Higgenbotham from the Pars (not him, just that type), A target man who can actually win a ball in the air, 2 of that Polish boy Fojut we had a few years back at centre halves (even better big Mio !!), Fyvie/stanton/Keatings/Gillespie? and two others including an old head.

A winger who tracks back (whats Conway up 2) and can tackle a fish supper, A game changer (a la fraser but with guts). 2 full backs that put a foot in and get forward with a cross at the end and a throw in to a team mate.

A few young lads who want the chance and, above all, players who have a bit of pride in the jersey.

Its not rocket science, but it might just be to the blabbering ringmaster.

Need some steel and height in team. If we keep fyvie and he gets fit stanton could really kick on - also need height and numbers up front. Mix of experience and youth. Kenny Miller? McD didnt really work for us but who knows!

Ralston apart don't really want any more ex Celtic or Sevco players. Miller a no from me as I'd prefer to see players coming in that are hungry to prove themselves and play the second year in the premier. Doubt he would come anyway, he'd have to emigrate afterwards. Conway still has a future in England but like you say we're crying out for a similar player. Hope Luggy will be able to find a couple of gems.

If Csaba gets his way I'd expect to see some additions from eastern Europe. Tall strong boys that can handle the physical. The only problem being what level they are at currently.

Agree on Fyvie Stanton Keatings and Gillespie though.
