It was one of those stupid mistakes that cost us today which he'll probable never make again in his lifetime, but like the above, he's not good enough at this level anyway.

Agreed on that point gents , what about Alfie Mawson as a shout - he's a good player now but Dyche would make him brilliant I think.

    What?

But for the Arsenal game we would have the third best defensive record in the Premier League - and Kevin has more than played his part in that.

A very unfortunate slip cost us a goal on Saturday.

Mawson? Do us a favour - he isn't fit to clean Long's boots.

But we DO need another centre half. Two in fact if Mee does one.

Bit tetchy 59-60 on the long subject , I don't mind him tbh just don't think he's quite good enough.

As for Mawson don't dis like what I've seen , looks a lot more comfortable on the ball than long scores a few and I believe could improve considerably under Dyche

    The guy slipped that’s all

Telegraph gives him 7 with Pope Tarks Westwood and Wood. The rest got 6

Sky had him no worse than the rest
    Burnley: Pope (8), Lowton (6), Tarkowski (6), Long (6), Ward (7), Lennon (6), Gudmundsson (7), Westwood (6), Cork (6), Wood (7), Hendrick (7)

    Subs: Vokes (6), Wells (6), McNeil (6)

    Leave him alone

Lowton was culpable for the first, Long for the second.

We should not have lost this game but onwards and forwards.

Players sometimes slip and fall down, sometimes it can cost a goal, ask Steven Gerrard, but it's not something you should judge their overall level of ability on, unless they keep on doing it of course. Long has done much better than I thought he would, but I'd rather we signed someone like Dawson from WBA, and he was back on the bench.
