Possibly Bird and Mowatt can cover the holding role, both were excellent second half v York. Mowatt looks fit and a natural ball payer. For sure we are going no where playing Fryers or Pinillos in similar position - they are so left footed their body shape totally wrong every ball they received they were looking into the left touch line so no vision straight or right side hence they were being dispossessed

It's a sad state of affairs when we are hoping Bird and Mowatt might work this season. Wigan ed Morsy, Byrne, Power and Powell running their midfield in the Third Division last season.

Agree. The returning loan players have a lot to prove. Whether they do it is a different matter. I'm not holding out too much hope but I'll try and keep an open mind cos ivrybody deserves a second chance

No they were in Lg One last season, but they came back from 0-2 to beat us 3-2 in their relegation season.

Id be prepared to start with Walton this season and make Davies fight for his place. His awful form throughout the year cost us so much and he lost all rights to be number 1 from then on.
