The format for this competition forms two parts , due to the number of games played during the group stages it is nigh on impossible to manage this and so .......
For the group stage games predictions will be accepted on predicting the two nations who progress through to the last six**** .
The key is to predict the two nations progressing but in the right order
For instance if you predict England to win the group and Belgium to finish runner up and are correct you will receive 3 points for each nation
However if Belgium were to win the group and England were runner up you would only receive 1 point for each nation .
With 8 groups this gives plenty of scope and an opportunity to keep the competition competitive and as I say THE REAL POINTS CAN BE EARNED BY GETTING YOUR TWO PREDICTIONS FINNISHING IN THE RIGHT ORDER .
Once the group stages are completed we then move to the last 16 where the format returns to more familiar ground .
For example
If you predict England to beat Brazil 3-0 and are succesful you will receive 4 points
If England progress but win 2-0 then you will receive 1 point .
THIS FORMAT WILL COVER 90 MINUTES AND EXTRA TIME BUT NOT PENALTIES
Predicting draws
For Example
England 2-2 Brazil and successful yields 4 points
England 1-1 Brazil would yield 1 point
BUT DO BEAR IN MIND THIS COVERS 90 MINUTES AND EXTRA TIME
