Charlton lose by a goal in the 2nd leg play-off against the Shrews to give them a 0 - 2 win on aggregate, ending any hopes of a Wembley play-off final.

Charlton had plenty of possession in the first half but were not clinical in finishing and even then with half chances. A penalty appeal was dismissed and the Shrews top scorer, Carlton Morris scored on 59 minutes. I noticed the home side defended resolutely throughout.

Lee Bowyer has done very well in turning round the team's results and deserves to keep his place as Manager, using the same team building spirit and togetherness as Neil Harris has done at Millwall. He will undoubtedly need 1 or 2 prolific strikers if the Add1cks are to get out of League 1 next season. We wish the Shrews well in the play-off final.
