Happy Anniversary

Yet another May Day anniversary as just 8 years (as opposed to FORTY FIVE) ago, a CCFFS double helps ease United to an easy second Big Cup win on a glorious sunny day at Hampden in front of nigh on 30000 delirious, happy Arabs.

This win followed relegation in the 90s and a period of utter keechness and further relegation dodging. Proof that we should keep the faith as we do come back from adversity when it arises.

What an unbelievably brilliant day that was.

I was there on a bus from the Charlie, travelled to a hotel type place outside the city, canna mind the name, for beers amd a bbq and then on to Hampden to witness my team win the Scottish Cup for the 2nd time...still remember time almost stopping as Goodies lob hung in the air....the sheer explosion of noise when the ball hit the net was unreal and after that, it was a total party.

celtic (and the old rangers) experience cup wins almost annually but I can guarantee that their fans just dont appreciate them the way that we did.

I remember supporting a team like that 8 years and i remember the drive there, the car park with RC fans, walk to ground, nervous first half etc. The whole thing is etched in colour - tangerine! Dees were in their bed an all - and none on here
