Should be a good appointment. Ironic that he joins now, have we not been linked with him a few times over the years?

Also surprised given his form last year that he’s not a player-coach, could have been handy and saved us one keepers wage.

Sound appointment. I did think a coach/no.2 was the plan when Garden left, as three potential no.1s when Deniz is fit seems a bit much.

Deniz deal was extended because the club don't want to be seen to cut injured players loose. Show to players out there that the club does right by people. Which hasn't always been the ethos at Tannadice in recent years in all departments.

I think the expectation will be that Mehmet will be away once recovered.

Add in Allardice to develop in the first team and Toshney who ive not heard any departure rumours about then thats about it so far.

Struggling to nail down exactly who the 4 graduates and not even sure of Robson, Allardice and Smith, with all of them having had good runs in the first team already. Appere, Kadded, Chalmers, Thomas and Donaldson all spring to mind as well.

Yeh, just looked back at the Fed Thread where is mentions a squad of 24, 4 of which may be youths.

Now i understand it better, I dont think that will happen this season as MM has mentioned a squad of 22 with Deniz as no 23.
