Burnley won the league with a 4-0 result over CMB on Sunday, Sarah Greenhalgh with two of their goals. Clarets’ boss Matt Bee told burnleyfootballclub.com: “It’s a difficult level to get out off with the teams coming up from the regional leagues and down from the Premier League set-up and with only one going up.

    Club website
To coincide with the Ladies’ first team’s historic promotion to the new FA Women’s National League One, Burnley FC Girls & Ladies will henceforth be renamed Burnley FC Women.

Alongside the change in name, a new logo has been designed, with which Burnley FC Women aim to signify strength, confidence and inspire females in the local area to enjoy the beautiful game with us.

A dedicated website will also be launched over the coming weeks; an asset contemporary in design that will be the destination for all things Burnley FC Women.

Watch it alf, you've caused enough bother!!
I have seen the lasses play a couple of times this season and their enthusiasm and work rate was good to see. They have done well to win promotion and I wish them well next season.
