It isn't just us though that has difficulty in getting players across the line. Personally, I blame the agents because they hang on in the hope that a better deal will come in and make more money for them. As far as clubs are concerned, they again use agents and the better deal the agent can get the better it is for the club. It has all gone crazy since they started this stupid transfer window idea!

Swansea City say there has been no contact from Burnley over Sam Clucas and Alfie Mawson - and have poured cold water over links with Aberdeen's Scott McKenna.
Sean Dyche has been strongly linked with former Hull man Clucas in recent days, with talk of a £12million bid close to being finalised.
But WalesOnline understands that is premature, and although there is interest from the Clarets, no bid has been received for the midfielder.
The same goes for Mawson, who has emerged as a target for the Turf Moor outfit in the past few days.

But Sky Sports reports that Burnley “won’t be signing the midfielder at the current stage”.
It's a good job Terrier Taxis always takes payment in full prior to collection.

To me it seems like we are Poundland customers shopping at Harrods.Everything is too expensive and the shop assistants are laughing at us when we enquire about possible purchases, especially when an Arab or Russian comes along and buys the goods from under our nose while we are haggling.

Expect Clucas to arrive imminently followed by the return of our very own prodigal son.

No-one saw the Mawson one coming but that deal might get over the line fairly imminently too.

Dawson is a dead duck incidentally and "Yes" this came from a trusted source in Burnley this morning.

You will see these rumours and "update" spread right throughout the football media too!
You have been saying 'taxis booked signings imminent' for the last 4 weeks, if you keep saying it for long enough it will come true eventually you hang on in there.

Looks like we won't be shopping at Swansea
    http://www.skysports.com/transfer/ne...r-on-valuation

we need to stop trying to get these players on the cheap
sounds like we go in and offer 5m for a player valued at 20m so instantly the selling club do not take us seriously and don't want to deal with us. you watch West Ham will come in offer 18m and get him while were pissing about inching towards a 10m offer.

    Maybe good news

Swansea City have announced their squad to travel to Germany and Austria for their pre-season tour.
Graham Potter has selected 27 players to fly out for an eight-day stay on the continent - with big names such as Wilfried Bony, Alfie Mawson, Sam Clucas and Martin Olsson not travelling.
    It says they are injured!
