Thread: January Transfer Window Talk

I saw Danny down at Gawthorpe when he first came, he's a big, strong, quick lad and don't forget he made his first team EPL debut against ManUre. I would love it if he could make the grade with us, just to shut sinkov up!

Sporting Lisbon have lodged a complaint to FIFA regarding the transfer of Rui Patricio to Wolverhampton Wanderers and have demanded that both the club and the player be handed bans of 2 transfer windows and 6 months respectively. They also wwant £50m for him!,
Wolves completed the signing of goalkeeper Patricio last month while he was out in Russia with the Portugal squad at the World Cup.

The 30-year-old made clear his intentions of leaving the Estádio José Alvalade this summer after falling out with then club president Bruno de Carvalho, though the Wolves deal actually initially collapsed.

He then took the step of writing to Sporting requesting to cancel his contract. Others also did so citing an attack by 50 fans.
Sporting are unhappy about the role his agent Jorge Mendes (wolves advisor) played in this.

Asked if he was close to any deals, Dyche added: "We’re closer. You can think you’re close and you can think you’re there, but until the papers are signed and it’s all done then you’re not there.

"We have to keep working and be diligent in the market and we have to keep our ear to the ground for the shifting sands of what happens at football clubs."

THERE'S a 'strong chance' Burnley will break their club record again this summer, according to boss Sean Dyche.

Well for SD to make such comments show that even he is getting frustrated by the lack of action by the Board. It is my hobby horse that BFC enters the room last with all the good lookers already chosen and gone. If the board want to keep the supporters on board they must act quickly

Completely unfair assessment is that. We have a five man panel who discuss potential targets, then agree on contracts and fees and more importantly if the targeted player fits the SD paradigm.

Garlick and the Board have never, ever refused SD because of the due diligence and care taken prior to submitting a request and that is a FACT!

SD also had a high opinion of Tom Anderson, he waited forever for him, he had to let him go in the end though. Even Sean doesn't get it right every time.

BT, why on earth would you want to shut up the poster who told you Tarko would play for England, and that Jordan Pickford was not a keeper to worry about, he would be fine. The BBC and ITV pay muppets thousands to spout tripe, I talk sense for free, you should treasure me.

Watford and Burnley are both interested in signing Zamalek midfielder Tarek Hamed, with Javi Gracia and Sean Dyche looking to bolster their ranks in the middle of the park.

Hamed has been with Zamalek since 2014, and has been a driving force behind their recent success, making 136 appearances in all competitions for the Egyptian outfit.
