just so happened - he was there just before the fall - which they've been slowly creeping toward for some years - poor decisiion making....hiring and firing front and back of house -can't expect it all on a permanent full plate just because your in the PL - chickens will come home to roost - eventually....yeah its a bummer for the players - because the Facts/Stats remain - and they dont read brilliant - so should expect a drop....has to be - unitil they prove themselves.

where does that take them - 30 grand a week each - and are we willing to double that ?....thats for a couple of players who couldn't keep Brom in the Prem ?

I wouldn't worry about that, neither Gudmundsson nor Pope could keep Charlton in the Championship, nor could Tom Heaton keep Bristol City in it, Brady couldn't keep Norwich in the PL, neither could Westwood keep Villa in it, and Ward was a regular in the Wolves team that got relegated out of the Prem a few years ago. We do quite well taking players from relegated clubs.

We seem to enjoy Championship fishing. We haven’t taken many players from PL sides. Jack and Aaron the only two that come to mind.

I suppose it was necessity OC, we couldn't pay the wages PL players were on. We must be able to afford one or two now.

no worries.....Tom was a free transfer with a value of Half a Mil - and Pope came to us for £1.17m...so I think the seeming 25mil offer for both the Dawson and Rodriguez dropouts, is under the circumstances - a completely respectable one.
