I do accept the feathers were ruffled when he left, not sure of the detail but yes, it is the general opinion that it was a little acrimonious. Being injury prone is technically correct too, but his time out of the game is due to only two injuries (long term) (and indeed a potential sticking point to recruitment) I also accept that. There are three great strikers in his way at the moment, I have a good feeling about his future after Liverpool. But BT, in your opinion, what's he done to be a prima donna?

Just my own opinion, but after Christmas in our last relegation season he let it be known he wanted to go to Liverpool and played for us like he really could not be arsed! Also seemed to be more intent on getting photographed and appearing in the media with his Oz supermodel girlfriend.

I would add his narcissistic self adornments with his tattoos don’t help him. Too much like Andre.

He did good work here with his charity for kids. and came to watch a few games - Huddersfield away being one I was at so not all bad.

St Johnstone has today finalised the signing of Northern Irish U21 international goalkeeper Conor Mitchell, on a season-long-loan from English Premier League side Burnley.

Conor trained with the squad towards the end of last week with a view to securing a loan-deal and Saints boss Tommy Wright moved swiftly to capture the 22-year-old to add to his goalkeeping options.

Conor joins Zander Clark and Mark Hurst as first-team goalkeepers for the season ahead.

Wonder if he will get any game time?
