Premier League duo Brighton and Burnley have joined the chase for Preston North End star Ben Pearson, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Former Manchester United youngster Pearson is regarded as one of the best players outside the Premier League after impressing at Preston since his arrival in January 2016.
The all-action midfielder was a stand-out performer for Preston last season as they just missed out the play-off places by two points.

Sean not bothered about lack of activity
Speaking after Burnley's 2-0 win at Macclesfield Town on Friday night, Dyche said: "I’m not concerned. It’s just the reality.
"If we don’t get them in we’ve still got to play, if we do get them in hopefully they will do well. The season will go on regardless."

Those deals get done. It was ‘Alisson might sign for Liverpool’, it felt like an hour later and he had signed for Liverpool.

Working on the assumption that we can afford the wages (we can!) and we can afford £50 million (we can!) I fail to understand why Rodriguez, Clucas and Mawson are not already at the Turf.

He can hardly say he is getting fed up of the BFC business model but inside I bet he is starting to wonder if he can take the club any further with these restrictions.If we carry on like we have over the last 2-3 transfer windows then sooner or later Sean will leave for a club with more ambition and nobody could blame him one bit.
