Get your facts right, the retained list is purely about those players who are OUT of contract, the ones retained either already have contracts or have been given new contracts! The only way you can get rid of a player with a contract is to come to an agreement with them to pay up their contract, hardly a sound financial move.

What happens between now and the end of the transfer window will be the key, who we move on and if we actually pay some players off.
