    R.I.P. Ray Wilson

    The Everton and England World Cup left back in 1966 ..A great player and a gentleman as well.. One of the best left backs I've seen and truly world class ..

    I'm with you there Alfie, I don't think I've ever seen a better left-back, and I've seen a few.

    I honestly thought Ray Deakin was better.

    WHOOSH! That's the sound of my little joke hitting the back garden fence.

    I had the pleasure to meet Ray on three or four different occasions. He was a true gentleman and a first class footballer.
