Fair enough mate. But just keep in mind, many of the ones you are referring to, didn't really back Orta saying he was the answer. Were just waiting to see if things could be rectified. Not sure they need to confess to being wrong in that instance. Still don't think either view is right or wrong at this stage...but I'm sure we'll all be more decisive either way at the end of this next season !

And as I said Oz, if the club had had me as their advisor (fat chance!), rectification wouldn't be necessary and we'd have £15-20m more in the bank!

I agree about the end if next season, but unless our "recruitment" strategy changes I worry about what conclusions we will have reached.

If he signs for us and it works out, super, and unlike many who suggested Orta and his "buy e'em cheap, stack em thick" transfer policy was the best thing since sliced bread, and which has actually turned out to an unmitigated disaster, I'll admit I was wrong.

If he ends up being another Roberts, will you have the spine to do the same? I won't be holding my breath.

My point being, why are we considering taking the chance on yet another ex-injured player (same question regarding Bartley)?

Now with Bartley you may have a point. The guy is injury prone and not getting any younger. Freakishly played the most games he has in recent seasons with us.

On the plus side, hes a true leader and quality CB at this level with a goal or two in him (if you can get the game time out of him).

Same logic cannot be applied to Hernandez at the moment im sorry. Apples and oranges....
