    Winning at Liverpool and What cost us...

    On reflection, has anyone thought that winning our 3rd round cup game at Anfield probably had a negative effect on us this season? For the following reasons;

    1. It allowed Pardew perhaps another couple of games in the job. 2 more games with Big Dave in charge and perhaps it could have been tighter / we might have had the points to being close to staying up.

    2. It meant we went to Barcelona on a jolly - And not excusing the players, they did what they did. Because someone at the club booked that trip believing we would lose to Liverpool. In the end we had a game on Monday and again on Saturday and went to Barcelona inbetween on a trip none of the players wanted to go on

    3. We lost in the next round to Southampton anyway, gametime that could have been better spent on the training ground or recuperating.

    Maybe I'm just over reflecting on certain moments in the season.

    What really cost us was the appointment of Pardew and the points the bottom 4 took of us in the premiership....
    Huddersfield took 6
    Southampton took 6
    Stoke took 4
    Swansea took 4

    Only in so much as it allowed Kid Chocolate to disappear even further up his own rectum. Pardew's greatest negative effect was inflicted the day he was appointed. Liverpool away was one of very few instances where the Ego actually earned his corn.

    But I very much doubt victory in the Cup swayed opinion sufficiently for him to be given more time in the League, where he was by and large about as much use as a wet fart. Unimaginative recruitment followed by hesitancy and indecision at the top were to blame.

    Remember, sh it rolls down hill.

    Most who know about football knew it was a Disasterous appointment, others put his "bounce" stats on here completely forgetting his results at palace.

    If given the choice of the c??? Or pulis I think most would have kept pulis.

    I am surprised that in this day and age where there is probably a support group for when your s hit hits the side of toilet and you don't hear that soothing splash, there is not one for pardew survivors.

    Palace managed to escape his clutches whereas we were less fortunate.
