would you get a player out of contract

a lot of players out of contract becoming available

players such as ya ya toure etc

    in their twilight years

if we were to get one bearing in mind due to no fee they will be on reasonable wages
who would or what position would you go for

    a striker jumps to mind

torres has been mentioned by rafa

It all depends on whether they have something concrete to offer for a season or two....or more if they're young enough.
I just don't want the Sol Campbell's having a last pay day based on their name and not much else.

At this point, Torres would be at Joselu's level + injuries + big wages. I like him as a player, but he doesn't have goals in him anymore. No go from me.

He hasn't had goals in him since Liverpool, and how long is that? 7 years?

I don't think him coming here is realistic anyway, think he'll go to China for a last payday.

    Basically, i'd agree with this.

Not adverse to free agents, even if we'll have to pay a bit more in wages but they've got to want to be coming her to play, not just get the pay.
