Now that McKenna hasn't gone, its going to be a free for all in the Summer.
I would expect the huns to have made an offer of terms, and expect them to clear out some of the surplus midfielders that they have. However he would have recognised his best interests are not grabbing the first first offer in January, when Aberdeen ultimately are never going to withdraw their offer
Aberdeen are being weak, or at least lack the confidence that they could bring in a replacement
Or , AFC are simply not cutting their nose off to spite their face

Or of course it could be a case of the club dragging the arse out of it on purpose and just as the fans are getting themselves in to a state they announce under big fanfare that both are re-signing. Then they can say they pulled out all the stops to keep them and take the credit.

I was interested to hear one of the Sunderland players was on £40k a week in last nights game

Sunderland are a real anomaly though as they are effectively a Premiership team playing in that league. Shinnie might get £8-10K from Wigan in Championship but doubt he will get much more than what Aberdeen are offering if Wigan get relegated

Rodwell is still at Sunderland on a contract worth over 70k a week and he doesn't kick a ball. Watch the Netflix documentary, it's pretty good.

I never realised he had moved on...I'll need to check if he needs boots at Blackburn. A filthy rich waster it would appear.

Im increasingly thinking he’ll sign on.
If what you say is true, then the club is doing all it can
