    For me at the 'mo ................. Django Reinhardt LP via an old record player for pure authentic sound (scratches an all).

    Music is very mood dependent but over last week gardening,running,gym,driving & relaxing had iPod switched onto ...

    Resurrected this oldie recently - it had a round two pin plug on it and some Italian operatic 78 RPM record on it, little note says needle change April 1975 - it took a little bit of WD40 (other brands of lubricant are available and would have worked equally well) to get it running but soon knocked out the grainy authentic sound you allude to.

    I may be inspired now to open the heavy metal collection my sister left me - coloured vinyl the lot.

    Record Player is a Fidelty Westminster and the 78 Act 1 of La Boheme by His Master Voice - 78 were made of serious stuff it weighs a bit
