Newcastle set wages record in EFL in 2016-7 and Benitez wants to £100m to spend

Reported elsewhere on monies thread they spent £112.2m on wages .... to get out of the championship and so lost £92m last year. Now Benitez wants a new contract with a guaranteed £100m transfer budget - with PL income of £123m last year.
Will they get an FFP charge? Will Ashley cough up or will Rafa go to West Hammy?

My Newcastle Mad Geordie brother in law who I just spent 2 days with in Weeley say's you cannot blame Benitez if he walks away after what he has achieved at Newcastle with promises of monies that have not been forthcoming, he wants to build Newcastle similar to what Dyche has done at Burnley especially the youth system.

£112m on wages - money not forthcoming doesn’t seem to work for me.
That’s 3 times ours and it’s on mostly journeyman players that cost £5m or so.
