    According to The Ronnie Gill if confirmed it’s brilliant news for the vast majority of true supporters of The Club

    the mirror were reporting that agreement between rafa and ashley had been reached regarding transfers this summer

    but has anything official been announced?

    It was on FB earlier on June and the link to Chronicle saying that everything was agreed and Rafa would have money to spend on transfers

    He appears to be saying he a'int going this year -will see out his contract. He is in talks with Charnley re budgets and targets. There was also a suggestion that he will need to free up as well if he wants to push for a big name.

    So short term to alleviate the fears but no long term solution as yet!

    That's my taking on it.

    I suspect you're right there. It's far from ideal as a new contact + guarantees of a decent transfer budget would, for now, put a stop to my worrying. However, it's better than Rafael leaving.
