    Our captain

A legend in the making the way I see it. Not only because he's saying all the right things (and saying them well) but also because he's showing it on the pitch. Rafa has been the perfect man to coach and improve Lascelles as a player, and I just hope we can hang onto him for many years to come. If no ambition is shown I fear he will be off.

if we stay top 10 thats about as far as he would get as a starter each week

probabaly make a very good bench warmer at a top 6-8 club

He’s young and still learning his trade played at every level so far for England so a bright future ahead for the lad. I only hope we can hang on to him but he loves it at the Toon at the minute

At the moment I would agree with you...but if he continues his improvement as of the last 2 seasons...

Oh...one of the players that Rafa hasn't improved according to you!

He's massively important to our defence and team. Need to keep him no matter what offers come in.

Agreed, his absence showed how important he is to us.

Going to be a real top player one day, just hope it is with us.

i think unless he moves on and plays with better players he will hit a glass ceiling

however if he does move on to bea bench warmer and play with better players i cant see him improving to be a top centre half

i think here he will stagnate

    he is good

    not brilliant
    not world class

maybe break into an england squad occasionally

but far far far from a finished article

    good communicator

doesnt carry the ball out all that well
does go walk abouts at times

    decent in the air

    our best player for sure

but as i say he woud bea decent 20 mill back up signing for one of the big boys

Linked with Liverpool I see. That's one of the few places I could actually see him going.

I doubt if you'll get a response to that Geordie.
