why rafa only has himself to blame for a lack of transfer money

    he got rid of carr

now carr brought some ****e and he brought a lot of ok players and he brought a few really good players

all on the cheap no argument there

but all sold for great profits
    in the main

imagine if he was still doing that now

think of all the money rafa would have from all money footy realated

i cant see himn turning a profit on josewlwho somhow

Really? There were a few successful Carr signings....Cabaye, Tiote, Cisse, there were more failures though..

Tbh not all down to Carr, also have to take the management of the players into account..but that brings the whole system to account....Ashley let Carr, the chairman and the manager sign those players. Overall he failed. Two relegations and no more European football..etc.

That's why giving a proper manager as in Rafael makes complete sense!

    Very Good

Cheick Tiote, Yohan Cabaye, Demba Ba, Moussa Sissoko, Loic Remy, Gini Wijnaldum

    Good

Papiss Cisse, Karl Darlow, Jamaal Lascelles, Jonjo Shelvey, Andros Townsend, Hatem Ben Arfa

    OK

Mehdi Abeid, Davide Santon, Rob Elliot, Mathieu Debuchy, Yoan Gouffran, Ayoze Perez, Jack Colback, Daryl Janmaat, James Perch

    Poor

Gael Bigirimana, Vurnon Anita, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, Massadio Haidara, Olivier Kemen, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Florian Thauvin

    Very Poor

Stephen Ireland, Shefki Kuqi, Dan Gosling, Sol Campbell, Sylvain Marveaux, Gabriel Obertan, Romain Amalfitano, Luuk de Jong, Siem de Jong, Remy Cabella, Emmanuel Riviere, Facundo Ferreyra, Henri Saivet, Seydou Doumbia

    Undecided

Kevin Mbabu, Curtis Good, Chancel Mbemba, Ivan Toney

THis was from when he left the club.

I'd say Lascelles is boosted into the very good category but beyond that seems mostly fair. Few individual ones i'd disagree with but even by this list only 21 of his 46 signings rate "ok" and above. Remove "ok" and it becomes 12 as "good" or above.

But we did get promoted as Champions and finish in the top 10 of the premier league in our first season back with his signings.

    were they his

    im not so sure
im sure they were carrs as they happened so quick and im sure with only 8 games promised the signings woudld have been lined up agents talked to etc
dossiers drawn up for both scenarios of staying up or going down

i honestly thisk joselwho and the ones signed at the beginning of this last season were his
hence why he got rid of carr
