Yes Ipswich apparently didn't give him the millions to spend but he actually kept them clear of relegation every season didn't he. However they still say now that it was poor negative footy which might have got results, but it was poor to watch.

They're showing an interest in Jack Ross, it will be interesting to see if he turns them down like he did to us.

Previous managers at Ipswich such as Paul Jewel were backed very well by the Ipswich board and still didn't get anywhere near the top 6 .

And the one they didn't back sufficiently was the one who would probably have delivered the prize .

If Jack Ross turns them down and stays at St Mirren, will they/Ipswich be a rival to us within the next few weeks, during our chase for various coaches who might still be in work at the moment!. This just gets better and worse at the same time doesn't it!.

Who would be your personal choice for new HC ESR?

No idea to be honest mate , I like young up and coming coaches like Lee Johnson and Hecky rather than the older ones like Wilson and McCarthy. Somebody like Darrell Clarke or Hurst maybe
