My top score was only 21 so I never knew the pressure of the nervous nineties. I had a short life span taking shine off ball as an opener

Me neither steve , better at bowling when I could sledge the batsman ......... even in midweek pub league , 20 overs , everybody has to bowl two overs etc etc .

Feck em , play to win me .

Would have had to gi thi some chin music Jonny and a Merv Hughes glare once tha got in to thi stride .

Got proper wound up when I got hit for four , took it personal , like no bowlers ever got smashed for four or six , barmy really .

    Too competitive at times .

I used to love it round my chin because it was a free hit. If I'd have had more chin music I might have got more runs. Had all the shots but was too scared of giving my wicket away.

I was only second team but wish I'd applied myself better.
