So there we have it, it's official it's a redbull Honda from next season, I like the crafty 2 year deal(insurance policy) they've factored in just in case Honda build a dog for the 2021 engine rule change

And McLaren look like fools again, jumping ship from Honda and blaming the engine when it looks like a chassis problem they have

Just to keep you luddites interested, there IS a footy analogy here, the 'experts' in the media all followed the MacLaren spin that it was the Honda engine at fault and the car was fine. Wrong. just like those soothsaying pundits last night, the F1 press hadn't actually got a clue

Certain races are like that. Even here in the Far East, if you get pope in Singapore, you're almost certain to win if you get your put-stop strategy right.

Oh dear oh dear, from what was looking like a cert 1-2 it quickly turned into a double DNF, took a big man (who never pipes up on the radio) to come on without being prompted in front of a worldwide audience and say 'sorry Lewis for costing you the win, it was all my fault', top man IMO, you win as a team and you lose as a team

Hope he gets a bit of protection from Merc, it can't be easy literally having seconds to make a call to pit or carry on when a lot of the teams attention was still on Bottas retiring, heres how it went down over the radio

Vowles responded: "I have thrown away the win. We trust in you, and believe in you. I'm sorry.''

It seemed such an obvious call, but they expected another lap of VSC and wanted to know what everyone else was doing. Having said that, Hamilton would have had to retire whilst leading the race anyway.
