Agree with that, although first 2 are interchangable.

Yes he actually volunteers at Bluebell Wood, not seen a footballer do that before.

Could do without the virtue-signalling about Trump because God knows we've got enough of that already but nice to see a footballer spending their spare time helping people rather than playing golf or gambling, more footballers should do the same.

He tweeted when he arrived at the club (well when he settled down) asking what charities are near

Scott Minto used to spend one day a week ferrying passengers back and forth to Rotherham Hospice.

It will help them as well, they have a lot of spare time on their hands compared to most people, if they do community work/ volunteering there's less chance to get into bad habits, gambling seems to be a particular problem with footballers.

It depends how they intepret their job. As stated in a pretty alarming Per Mertesacker article recently, you cannot do too much to improve your game, whether it’s extra yoga and flexibility work, studying all aspects of the game, even improving your eyesight. He was adamant it should be seen as a full time job.

Anyway yes of course it’s fantastic that Vaulks makes time for volunteering too.

    Best signing of the season.

I'd go for Smith. At that point of the season I felt we'd lost our way with Kiefer and had been found out. His sending off and suspension was the turningpoint as we had to look at other combos. Smith coming in was a completely unexpected turning point, except maybe to Warne. He is not a great goalscorer but the fact that he's such a pain in the arse, drags defenders all over, gets his foot on the ball and holds up creates loads of space for the midfield attackers to get into. Hence a range of goalscorers across the team. This helped turn us round after our mid season slump and was therefore the best signing.

    Young player of the season.
