As much as i hate to agree with our resident proudly support sunderland mackem.
He is right - Rafa didn't turn them down because his release clause was never activated, so they never even spoke to him.
Hammers fans are always going to say it though, anything to big up the new manager which is what any club will do.
For example - Watch how amazing the new mackem manager is according to them, when eventually appointed.

Aye we should of stuck with Pardew, McClaren or Carver all of whos B Plans were tremendous. Instead were stuck with Rafa who got us promoted and a 10th position in Premiership.
