    We can't take a trick... Why couldn't it be the 69s?... Happy for them to have a seat on anything they desire!

    Here's what our MD said earlier:

    “It’s a meaningful sum.

    “It will definitely make us more competitive this summer, without a doubt. And I think it will bring the type of players that Leeds fans want and believe will make a difference in terms of mounting a sustained promotion challenge.”

    I heard a rumour that it was around £15 million, add to that the whole revenue for season ticket sales & new sponsorship deals which AR has already stated will be spent on strenthening the squad then it will be a tidy sum indeed

    Jut one of many "reports";

    http://www.espn.co.uk/football/leeds...rancisco-49ers

    But we won't know for sure whatever sum it was (unless it gets published in accounts some time in the future.

    Just hope it does get used to fund quality, not quantity (and to support how we bring the youngsters through.

    We can only hope. He has stated the invested money will be used to "improve on field performance". So yes that means they need to get the quality, not just spend it to justify having them on board.

    Hopefully great news. It’s building blocks and they are all positive. Investment is exactly what we need and a minority’s interest with such a large US concern can only reap rewards.

    It’s gonna happen, Premier within 3 years for me

    Less humorous, this analysis of Marathe and his influence on the 49ers;

    https://www.reddit.com/r/49ers/comme...u_really_want/

    That was a couple of years ago, then, early last year......

    https://ninerswire.usatoday.com/2017...n-nfl-circles/

    So apparently something of a "wheeler dealer" in the selection of coaches (for the 49ers)

    and now the 49ers are on the up.....

    https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/sport/l...nited-14698717

    All of which would suggest (given his involvement in the salary cap previously, the selection of coaches etc, and more recently the 49ers roster and preparation for contract negotiation) that he will be advising on how that should be done with new coach/players here?
