How do you know? Maybe by saying this he lets agents know that we are in a position to be presented players they might not have presented to us? Thats often how it works.
We were going to pay 100k for Noble this time last year.

I don't think you understand how football transfers work. Sometimes he who shouts loudest gets the most attention. If an agent thinks you don't have any money, hes not gonna phone you about a player is he!

Expect to pay at least £100K for what he wants and now other clubs know we have a real shortage of players, expect them to milk it, that's business, sometimes makes you wonder how AH made so much money. It's like playing poker and telling everyone what cards you're holding.
That £40,000 was a hypothetical number you know, and whatever the figure, my point remains the same.

These other clubs that know we have a shortage of players, are they not aware that at this time of year, when themselves and every other club has off-loaded their unwanted players, that they too are short of players? Clubs will be trying to get the best deal they can, be it buying OR selling. Sellers want to get rid at a good price so they can buy at a good price. Notts County are not the only club out there, you know, there aren't ninety-odd football league club owners just watching to see how they can screw Notts and nobody else - believe it or not ---- there are richer clubs.

And? Are we meant to get upset that it didnt happen on a date he was hopeful of? I was hopeful of winning the lottery last week, but now its gonna be next week instead.

Relax man! Stop looking for things to moan about.

And for crying out loud, this appears to be a kid, a player for the future, not all of our league 2 promotions hopes and dreams!

and the likes of Dennis is Chesterfield, turns down a new deal. Notts can go in under value. Chesterfield have a take it or leave it option, or lose him for nothing next year. Selling clubs are not in the strong position, neither are the buying clubs. Both have to give way for deals to happen. Just cos Notts want players, like every other team in the summer, doesn't mean we will get shafted by anyone we are interested in!

Dennis isn't the 18 year old, and we have since said we are not in for Dennis.
Who do we believe, how can I shout at people for being wrong?

No player, striker or otherwise, will get anywhere near a medical without passing the "Nolan" test of attitude.

The signing of the 18 year old has been held up because the two clubs have been arguing about the fee.
