Swale and I are as keen as all of you are to keep NCM as a thriving forum. Recently things seem to have gone a bit downhill and even the most innocuous threads have descended into arguments and insult throwing. It’s making the board an unpleasant place to be and driving away some posters. Also, as you are probably aware, the Footy Mad owners aren’t happy with some of the stuff that gets posted and there is a realistic risk that the forum could be shut down.

So here’s what we are going to do: from today, we’re having a fresh start. Everyone will start with a completely clean sheet (including posters who have been sailing very close to the wind previously). The forum rules are a sticky at the top of the page, and everyone is expected to abide by them. People who don’t do that will be warned, and then banned if they carry on. If you see something offensive, please report it. That said, please don’t spam us with daft complaints, we really don’t want 10 emails in 5 minutes about innocuous stuff (again).

Hopefully we can get this place back to the informative, intelligent (OK that might be pushing it a bit ) lively place we all know it can be.
