    Leeds 49ers?

    Yes it’s possible ... as 49ers takes 10% stake.

Leeds United have entered a partnership with 49ers Enterprises, the investment entity behind American football giants San Francisco 49ers.

United chairman Andrea Radrizzani said funds invested in the collaboration will be used to "improve results on the pitch" at the Championship club.

The link-up could also see Leeds play games at the 49ers' Levi's Stadium.

Just been in Peru and loved driving on their roads and seeing the armco/crash barriers on every corner; they're painted white with intermittent blue/yellow/blue vertical stripes on them and look just like Leeds scarves which seemed quite appropriate for a crash barrier.

I predict Leeds will start well then fade into midtable championship obscurity just as they have for the past few seasons.

Yes---but how will they feature in the NFL?

Are they really that committed at 10% ? Doesn't seem like it to me. American Football owners have generally, Glazers being the obvious exception, tended to steer clear of throwing money at our football, they probably have more sense. If I was a Leeds fan I wouldn't be getting too excited, a bright, new dawn it is not.

Supposedly giving Leeds £8m a year
San Francisco and Burma don’t seem to fit to me.

probably do a 0-16 Cleveland Browns, the 49ers are my team and are not doing so well themselves lately so it makes sense to partner up with a championship team that are also rubbish at the minute

That team of Don Revie's from the 70's might well have cut it? Though I understand that even the NFL has rules about excessive violence which might've caused them a problem.

You get that for moving up just three places in our league.

8m doesn't even buy you a decent championship striker these days
