Of course it is...think I’d try and avoid McCarthy, although the has his supporters...beyond that it’s all swings and roundabouts and I’m glad I don’t have to decide...or foot the bill.

Not so keen on JT though.

For Lamps to work he's got to come here and earn peanuts AND his list of contacts and/or a serious possibility of getting some decent chelsea loanees for free that can make a difference, I see no point paying him 30k a week just cos its Lamps from chelsea and with no real possibility of any chelsea loans, if he will work for next to nothing while he learns his trade (has agreed to and possibly the reason we are interested) and can bring in chelsea players for next to nothing then maybe just maybe he's worth a shout, if not you'd have to put your money on Mick McCarthy for experience and being able to work with very little funds

This thread is starting to remind me of when Clement came in and some were expecting him to bring in the next Ronaldos because of his contacts

Except that a lot of people, not you...and not me, moaned incessantly about the dull football under Rowett. I know McCarthy knows his stuff but Rowett’s style was positively effervescent compared with some of the stuff McCarthy serves up.

MOP Spot on about Mcarthy he's a bloody good Championship manager Its all bulloks about his style of play They are no different to any other team in this division Just because a few of their fans don't like being a middle the table side they have hounded him out He hasn't been sacked he's just had enough of the fans A bit like Rowett I suspect Same as you say he never has owt to spend But he spends very wisely when h does Who else would have got Garner and Waghorn off Rangers for less than a million We would probably spent five million for them
