If you want to make a statement about your dislike for guns?

Some folk really are as thick as custard - a "deeper meaning" FFS - it's a gun on your leg!

I would rather have a gun on a leg than in someone's hands. I have yet to see a gun tattoo kill anyone.

Campaigners, activists, Twitter trolls and morons, all those determined to be outraged and offended out in force again. Not one person has lost their life because Sterling has that tattoo on his leg, not one life will be saved if he has it lasered off, no one is going to go out and buy a gun because Sterling has a tattoo on his leg.

I'm not a big fan of Sterling, but I hope he has the balls to tell the morons to feck off, and crawl back under their stones. There are reasons why gun crime is such a problem, drugs and policing, or lack of policing, being the main ones, a tattoo on the leg of a footballer is irrelevant.

Would he not be better going out and meeting the gangs or investing in a youth centre? The best I can say he has at least sparked yet another gun debate.

He might well end up being a roll model for the NRA.

My point BT is that the publicity seeking morons kicking up about this are deflecting attention away from the real causes of gun crime, and by doing that are making any resolution, or amelioration, of the problem less likely.

I'm sure the government and police, who are responsible for getting on top of this, are quite happy for Sterling to be taking flak, so to speak, for the next few weeks in the media, takes the spotlight off where it should be for a while, which is on them.

True Supersub. A tattoo never killed anyone. I just think it is poor taste. I wouldn’t recommend a school tour with it on display.

If you want to set a a good example to schoolchildren outwood, you shouldn't be taking millionaire footballers on visits.
