This is the sort of meaningless pish trophy that could be stopped. Players I know have little respect for it, it carries little prestige or reward, and with the season being shortened to ensure that the league is ready for the plays-off, valuable midweek time is used up, where derby-ish League games could go ahead to prevent a build-up later in the season if the winter's harsh.
