"sinkov--- I was joking about FIFA changing the laws of a game which has flourished for over 130 years, I just wish that we could get back to letting the officials do their job without interference."

I'm glad you were supersub, the reason why I responded was that I've heard the very same lunatic idea proposed by an ex-international and manager, live on TV. OK it was Peter Reid, and not many take him seriously any more, but FIFA might, it's run by people with more screws loose than even old monkey heyd.

If you were to stand at the base of those ancient stones in Jerusalem, what prayer would you leave?

Please dear God, have a word with the cretins running football, and persuade them to get rid of VAR.

"Please God Almighty, don't let Sean Dyche leave Burnley Football Club until he is going down Harry Potts Way in his Funeral Hearst?"

Swiss on a roll beating Serbia 2-1 with Shaqiri putting his price up and trying to do a Ronaldo shirt removal pose. Another wresting move on Mitrovic by two Swiss players goes unpunished.
They go top above them and Brazil who get two goals in overtime to beat Costa Rica and nearly lose their manager as he trips and does a Brazilian roll in celebration. Neymar loses his spaghetti head and scores in the very last minute causing him to sit and cry -probably about the hair!
Nigeria outgun Iceland 2-0 with Musa getting both and Gylfi missing a VAR penalty. They need to beat Croatia to stand a chance of qualifying. Argentina on a shaky nail have to beat Nigeria.

Will Tunisia’s wrestlers and divers be allowed to get away with it again and do us a favour by holding them to a draw.

Belgium put Tunisia to the sword 5-2
10 man Germany somehow manufacture a 2-1 win over Sweden in the last 10 seconds of the game whilst the Sweden don’t get a penalty or a VAR and Mexico knock South Korea out 2-1 to go through.

Mail says Russia are dopes and FIFA are complicit in the cover up. That’s a surprise!!

Lukaku and Hazard May be rested as both got knocks

OC --we will not blow this and with an overfussy referee Panama will be lucky to finish with 11 on the field. I don't know how they can complain about the penalty because every time Lingard has been near the ball he has been fouled.
We just need to get rid of some complacency at the back at times.
