    Shows how quiet it has gone nowadays
    I thought we have had some good atmosphere back end of this season.

    But if I had a time machine
    I wouldn’t be heading to Dallas to save JFK I’d be watching match after match at st james’

    the early 70's were great too, before the police started "escorts" and then fences going up

    longer distance matches - we'd leave the town at midnight, arrive early morning. spend all day and night there, then 11 pm /midnight return to the town.

    shorter distances leave early morning but still stay wherever until 11 pm/midnight before returning home.

    none of this getting straight out of town after a match.

    Galley Coaches from Haymarket had some great times not many away wins though.

    We used to get picked up at Bowburn by the supporters buses in the mid 80's if we were told the week before we couldn't get on the local 'radgee' bus with the older lads
    Once we were old enough we started our own trips and dependant on numbers it was either cars vans or a bus
    Thats where the best memories come from
