Didn't think they'd get rid of PH but I'm not exactly bothered either he offered nothing in his time and made no difference to the team infact we probably got worse which was a tough ask considering where he started.

Bielsa? Not so sure myself, no experience of England let alone the championship. Experienced yes but not in this country, really don't know what the answer is myself. Just hope it doesn't end up as someone like McCarthy, Pardew, Allardyce etc

we appear to be going with a hard nosed Argentinian that has reputation for good tactics and doesn't suffer fools well. Not really much different that some of the more successful managers in the champtionhip.

It is rather pollyanna to think we are going to get a top flight manager with our current squad and ownership. Not slamming them but you do have to be somewhat realistic. How many coaches have we gone through? Hell, we've gone through more owners in 5 years than some clubs have gone through in their existence.

I think hecky is more the kind of manager we would be able to get. we did recently have a manager that just got a club promoted to the prem this year without a whole lot more support than we can give squad wise.

Lets hope he's more like Wagner than some of our other recent coaches.
I didn't say "English only" did I? I said "someone who knows the Championship". We had "hard nosed" under Cellino, and that got us a long way, didn't it. You can try and resemble a cross between John Wayne and Clint Eastwood for "hard nosed", but if they don't know what to do in the Championship, it will count for nothing.

Bielsa is a long shot but would be a superb signing.

Willing to stake my left ball he would be a success, one of the most innovative coaches in the world.

Don't think the championship would hold any surprises for him.

Just doubt very much it would happen.

Honestly, I'm not hyped at all about Bielsa. He has a very good reputation but I have no idea why. He was no success at any of his former clubs, probably we won't be any different. I'd actually choose Pardew over him at this point.

would be a good move, managed in many different countries, plays attacking football, coached Atletic Bilbao, a club not dissimilar to Leeds. Cant be worse than Heck.

No idea m8, I only have criteria, not candidates in mind.

    1. Experienced and successful in managing an English Championship side
    2. Background before becoming a successful manager as development side coach, (and preferably before that success at senior levels as a player)
    3. Under 50
    4. Appointed with a contract in place that guarantees independence of player selection from the DoF

Likelihood of any of those criteria being met by the new manager/coach, nil.

Atletico Bilbao "not dissimilar" to Leeds, in what respect? Just because he did alright at a Spanish club in the equivalent of their PL doesn't mean he would have an earthly with the resources he would be having to nickel and dime at Leeds. If he came, he'd be off (and not dismissed, on his toes) before Christmas.
