Really hope this isn’t AH fulfilling another bucket list item.

Making a former Liverpool player manager....

This has the Fullerton feel to it.

Kewell would be an odd one. Have we really got the money to be spunking on compo?

No doubt Fletcher will be a big influence on who gets the job.

If Fletcher has a big influence then it'll probably be Chettle which isn't what's needed. Notts County should not belong in League Two so it needs a decent manager, I expect better than Chettle or a twunt like Kewell, Bowyer should be the man but when was the last time Notts made the common sense appointment.

Just had a look Kewell is a strong favourite followed by Chettle, Bowyer in third and Hasslebaink in fourth.

Let's paste the odds here for posterity so we can see when/if they change....

    Sjybet...

    Harry Kewell
    5/6
    Steve Chettle
    7/4
    Gary Bowyer
    4/1
    Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink
    10/1
    Keith Curle
    14/1
    Darren Ferguson
    16/1

The rest are probably not serious contenders.

Jon Stead at 25/1 and Richard Duffy at 33/1 now!

Hasselbaink would be my preferred option from the young ex player category.

    Not for me.

Record at last 2 clubs isn't good.

Me neither but if we have to go for someone of that ilk at least he's got a team promoted before.
