I don’t really gamble so don’t always understand betting odds but we are not going down so that relegation offer is worth nothing. If I was a betting man I would still consider top half at 5/2, although you would need to stick about £50 on to make it worthwhile … I think?

Update time! Ardley at the reigns now of course, and boy do the bookmakers not fancy any kind of turn around!

20/1 for a top half finish is some price... we are 11 points short of that at the moment and 15 off the playoffs... interesting odds all the same so a sneaky 5 euro wont kill me... could we do a Leicester and win the thing at 5000/1? ha ha

It's early days of the Ardley reign but you'd imagine with a decent manager, our huge budget and a couple of additions, taking 11 points out of the mid table teams is not impossible. 20 to 1 is what, a 5% chance? I'd put it down as more likely than that.
But I did say the same when Kewell took over 😂

To finish top half we would need to finish on around 60 points. So we would need to win 11, draw 8 and lose 5 of our remaining 24 games. It would be require a complete turnaround of form to that of automatic promotion / high end playoffs. As optimistic I am I can’t see it happening, but would love to be proven wrong.
There is a lot of work to be done and improvements to be made which is not going to be easy. So for me the aim still is to get to 50 points and secure our league place for next season.

Top half finish now 50/1 at SkyBet and BetVictor, it seems unlikely Notts will do it but with a January transfer window opening shortly 50/1 was sufficient value for me to chuck a few more quid in, am I just throwing it down the toilet? Probably
