    £50 note dilemma...

Looking through some Beatles books that I hadn't read in years I came across this £50 note placed in the pages of one of them,I can remember wondering what happened to it about five years ago and thinking that I had lost it in the street and so you can imagine my surprise and joy to find it again, then as I looked at it I realised that it was one of the old ones and was out of circulation, you can't even swop it at the bank unless you are passing the Bank Of England
So that brings me to you, what should I do with it,is there anyway that it could be useful to someone sonewhere,do you think that maybe a charity could somehow use it?Name: IMG_20180524_082420371.jpg

It would be easier to spend the out of date £50 note than it would a Scottish fiver down here I'm afraid Rab

Light a cigar with it. I light cigars with ten pound notes.

Chalky, I found some old £20s in a purse my mum hadn't used for about 20 years. I simply paid them into her bank account at an HSBC branch. Don't give up on it - go and ask at your bank!

I tried taking it to the Bank Griff and it was them who told me that it could only be exchanged at the Bank of England so I put it into an envelope with a note explaining the situation and posted it through the local charity shop letterbox,I'm hoping that some good can come from it

You could have done it by post with the BoE Chalky. Takes a few days but you get your money.
