the online Panini World cup sticker thread

Yo everybody, how many of us used to collect these stickies when we were kids (back in the 80s as it was for me).
There is a Panini online thing which is free of course every two years, for the World Cup and the Euro Champs, and it lets us do the collecting and annoying swapping stuff etc.
Ive just started this (yesterday), so is anybody on here interested in doing it, we could join a private footymad league for example, and fight amongst ourselves for swaps lol.

    Cigarette cards in my day!!
Went with grandsons to a sticker event at Hampden four years ago- very well organised with swaps, competitions, freestylers, players signing autographs and having pics with kids and Scottish cups on hand for the same purpose.
    That was Match Attax though.

I remember the cigarette cards also, and the Panini one's when they first came out but for some reason I was never interested in them Acido, one of the grandchildren collects them and I appear interested when he shows me his collection but really it does not appeal to me.

The same grandson appears lucky though, in Cyprus last year he met and had a photo taken with Frank Lampard and John Terry, he's just got back from a holiday in Dubai and Abu Dhabi where again he had a photo taken with Nicky Butt, I'll dig them up later.

I grew up about fifty years ago, so swapping cards with other kids, has not got much appeal these days...

BBC reckon it costs over £700 to fill the WC sticker book. Think you’re better avoiding them.

Ciggy cards were free (apart from helping reduce life expectancy) as were cards with Tea was it PG Tips, though they were birds or animals.
