As a wealthy Russian Jew he had no problems getting Israeli citizenship.

I have read somewhere that his visa as an Israeli entitles him to visit but not work in the U.K.

He's a crook. London welcomes crooks, although they're cooling on Russian ones.

That's not true though! Chelsea have been ever present in the prem league!
It's true they have won most of their trophies since his arrival and so many of their supporters forget this (I actually live just outside Chelsea so I have to put up with them), but lying about the facts cheapens your argument!

My uninformed guess is that there is high level, high roller politics at government and international level at play here that you or I will never in a million years be made party to.

I was quite happy to see a mid table, nothing club breaking the so called "big club" stranglehold in the EPL at the beginning when he arrived. After all, even the said big teams were nothing clubs once and had to start somewhere. I guess making history by winning things is what gives a club pedigree and heritage.

I'm sure Chelsea could live a long time from just selling loan players etc

And I'm sure roman could find a respectable front man to buy the club from him and just visit to watch
