I'm by no means a car enthusiast but cars just don't look as cool as they used to "back in the day"

One of my favourite ever cars was the Fiesta XR2 mkII. Looked cool as f*ck, was damn fast and stuck to the road like a go-kart.

Had a white one at one point but it was a right bucket. Never did manage to get the red one with black body kit.

Looks like one in the background of the first photo you posted.

Also the Escort and Sierra Cosworths (3rd photo down) were popular Fords back in the day. The Sierra was an absolute beast of a car but never found it a nice looking machine. The Escort on the other hand, with it's high tail spoiler, was a thing of beauty.

I did take a photo of the similar Fiesta. You see it in the background of the yellow Mexico

A lot of car companies have lost the plot, not just Ford. I blame the obsession with SUVs.

And hybrids. People can't make up their mind if they want a 4x4, a little run-around or a people carrier so the market is full of ugly cars that try do be all 3.

Ford are the ones that jump oot. Been to the Truckfest at Dunecht and Broch Vintage Car Rally recently and thats my opinion.

On SUVs people seem believe they need one and is a must as soon as they have a kid. Load of pish. Ive managed nae hassle without one for the wee mans 4 year on earth

Everything designed in the same wind tunnel, using the same design software, undoubtedly “outsourced” to smartass designers determined that the public want what designers lower themselves to give them.

Mind you, Mk I and II Escorts were ****ing awful to drive.
