Yet to see what qualifies Forshaw for our best 11.
Clive, that must make me an idiot then; every time I watch him he frustrates me, poor first touch, unable to take on full backs, lightweight who loses the ball with the slightest of challenge and end up on his a5se with his arms in the air pleading for a foul; I really don't know why managers have persisted with him....oh hold on the alternative is Sacko.....
Yet to see what qualifies Forshaw for our best 11.
Like many others by the opinions stated here, I don't rate him as a "must keep". But...I will say something about him that gave me a slightly different impression. When that video link was on here recently showing every goal scored this season in all competitions, I was firstly surprised that he did score his share....and even more pleasantly surprised at how many times his name appeared in the lead up to goals scored by others! Dead serious. We didn't score anywhere near enough, but his input was there and compared favourably with others....IMO.
Clive loves to play fantasy football , with players who we aint got a prayer of signing. ;
by christmas the reality as settled in, and we are usually on the verge of sacking another manager , and been dumped out of the fa cup by some non league outfit .
By february the promotion dream is dead and buried and we get round to the excuses game , and why we have failed for the four****th consecutive season. But not to worry fantasy football is just around the corner once again.
I guess I'm making an assumption that he lives up to his potential, but that might be a bit over-optimistic I know. Alioski for me is just not quite a definite first 11 pick, yes he works hard, yes he scores the occasional goal, and was involved in some other goals, but overall I agree with what Silentman posted, and those faults outweigh the positives - at least from his performances over last season, but if he can improve in those areas whilst still making the positive contributions then yes he's definitely a competent squad player. But Roberts *could* be a real handful in the Championship.
Taff the reason I ask is we know nothing about Roberts from a championship level point of view, he did OK to middley in lgs 1 and 2, granted he's still young so plenty of time to improve, but I'd have alioski over him any day of the week, IF Roberts proves to be a good striker then hell yeah get him in, but he's just got to prove it first, the 2.5m price tag isn't proof of his ability
Regarding your comment marleybone Station, this ain't fantasy football, this is based on the strong rumours that the press have been coming up with, the strongest source being Phil Hay and Adam pope, both have links within the club due to their positions in the media
I'm not saying we shall get any of them, but rather than be a boring negative repetitive scratched record like you, I try to be optimistic, because if none of us were, then we may as well all stop supporting leeds united
AND I AIN'T STOPPING SUPPORTING MY CLUB COZ OF SOME RANDOM BLOKE WHO DECIDES TO POISON THIS FORUM!
MTFOT!
