    New sponsor

Barnsley Football Club are delighted to announce the launch of a new social media partnership with The Energy Check.

The Energy Check is one of the UK’s leading energy consultancies, based in the North East, with offices in Birmingham while trading in the Netherlands.

The firm, established in 2014, provides market expertise to thousands of businesses and customers to help them reduce their energy costs and carbon emissions.

Already partnering a number of large sporting organisations, the Reds were pleased to enter into a commercial agreement with the utility specialists, who also work with the largest energy companies in the industry.

Ian Leech, Commercial Manager at Barnsley Football Club, was delighted to see another major partner coming on-board at Oakwell.

“It’s great to be welcoming The Energy Check to our Barnsley FC family. We recognised an opportunity to grow off the field and we came to a mutually beneficial agreement.

“As a Club, we are constantly looking to grow and The Energy Check were just as keen to enhance their visibility within a sporting environment, so this really was an excellent partnership! We look forward now what we hope will be a long-running relationship which can bring benefits to both parties and Reds fans!”

The Energy Check are excited to engage and interact with fans of the Club through creative digital methods, whilst also releasing information on ways supporters can make sizeable savings on their energy bills.

Ryan Callaghan, Corporate Partnership Manager at The Energy Check, said: “We are delighted to be part of this sponsorship deal between The Energy Check and Barnsley Football Club. We can’t wait to be involved with the club in what should be a really exciting and hopefully, successful campaign.

The Energy Check are also looking to engage and get to know Reds fans at Oakwell, explained Callaghan: “We’re in the process of setting up monthly competitions, which will have a positive impact on the charitable set up at the club so I ask fans to keep their eye out and get involved! We wish the club the best of luck in the upcoming season.”

With a combined experience of over 40 years, The Energy Check is also involved on finding tailored renewable and energy efficient solutions for businesses of all sizes such as LED lighting, solar PV, biomass, commercial battery storage, electric vehicle charging points and more.

Exciting times ahead with Energy Check.

I hope BFC don't disclose my data to this lot and I'm deluged with "offers". Can't wait for the monthly competitions.

    Go Barnsley !

Well there's plenty of hot air floating about maybe the new owners have caught wind of some gass in them old pit shafts and want to extract it for profit.

It would be interesting to know what the council had to say about this partnership.
