Adam Armstrong coming back is a good shout, but it would only be for another season loan wouldn't it. Newcastle clearly don't want him long term but they won't let him go on the cheap. And the same goes for Ash Fletcher again at Middlesbrough.
If only Isgrove could steer clear of injuries next season he could be a top player. And I hope we finally get to see Mallan properly before deciding on him.

Expect a lotta goals at booath ends like at Liverpooil, which is o'reyt wi me as long as we are the ones winning 4-3. The'll evto run the b0ll0cks off to mek it work.
Agree SB but looking at the way football is getting played today most of the top teams such as Barca , Madrid and Man City do give you a sniff .

The keepers are nearly all top notch , Liverpool apart , there lies the real issue with this system I feel and who ended up with honours and who despite playing good , exciting and attacking football ended up with sweet FA .

It means 'Stenders' & co have got a lot of work to do and some tough decisions are going to have to be made. But don't we all find this exciting, its going to be another rollercoaster of a ride for us all and Im on board now with his appt.
The fitness levels are going to need working on and its terrible that they were allowed to get as bad as that last season. In the first season back our fitness levels were some of the best Id ever seen, so what on earth happened to them in the following year ?.

Chasing better players all season may have had a big influence on the players lack of fitness .

Most people will tell you , myself included that it's bloody hard work trying to close down technically superior players for 90 minutes and attempting to stay with them .

Speaking of Josh Scowen, or Josh Brownhill, or even Ben Pearson in that role, could we take advantage of Aston Villa's predicament and make a sneaky bid for Gary Gardner ?. One that they couldn't refuse of course.
But it means we're going to have to offload some midfielders.

    @ Ponte Steve

Great example of where and how Isgrove needs to run next season is perfectly illustrated in the play off game at Oakwell against Walsall and the goal he had chalked off for offside , which it wasn't plus some other surging runs from deep .

We'll quickly move on ..... cough !! .... from the player who put him in .
