    Man Utd spending so far

£47m on Fred and £19m on a young Portuguese fullback so far. I bet they’ll spend at least the same again and the excuses will start from Mourinho in mid September when they are 7/8 points behind Man City.

His football a lot of the time is dire for the amount he gets to spend. With that fact I wonder what he’d be like here with £50m tops to spend?

I dont believe he is getting the most from those players he has at all. Reckon he is a busted flush now.

I reckon they'll be spending at least 100 million on top of that.

More if De Gea goes to Madrid as is rumoured.

I don't understand what's happened to Mourinho, but with the players he's got he should be playing better football. Results have gone their way overall as no one was going to compete with City, but watching them has been largely a bore. You could expect that from most other clubs outside the Top 6, but not Man United. Their fans aren't happy about it either.

His collapse at Chelsea the second time when he couldn’t turn it round showed everyone a lot. He likes to blame others and deflect - what he said about Chelsea not having a shot in the cup final was absolute tosh, but I bet he truly believed it.

He changes like night and day. He keeps contradicting himself and generally comes across as bitter and a sore loser. That takes the fun of it away which is a shame 'cause the league needed a type like him when he first came and now needs another one again to shake things up.

He has never played exciting football but got away with it while he was winning trophies.

His Inter side was pure defence and the worst of his sides to watch.
